2. What we collect

We collect only what you actively submit, plus minimal technical data needed to run the site securely:

• Contact / quote form: name, email, phone (optional), and your message (site, scope, timeline).
• Job application form: name, email, phone (optional), the role, and the details you write (experience, availability, scaffold card).
• Server logs: our host (area.lv) may keep standard technical logs (e.g. IP address, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting.

We do not use tracking or analytics cookies, advertising pixels, or profiling on the public website. Visitors to the public pages are not given any cookies.

3. Cookies

The public website sets no cookies. The only cookie used anywhere is a strictly necessary session cookie in our internal content-management panel, and it is set only for signed-in staff — never for site visitors. Because we use no non-essential cookies, no cookie-consent banner is required under the ePrivacy rules and Traficom guidance. If we ever add analytics, we will use a privacy-friendly, consent-appropriate solution and update this policy.

4. Why we use it and legal basis

We use your data solely to respond to and handle your enquiry — to prepare a quote or to process your job application. Legal bases under the GDPR:

• Consent — Art. 6(1)(a): you tick the consent box when submitting a form; you may withdraw it at any time.
• Steps prior to a contract — Art. 6(1)(b): to prepare an offer you requested.
• Legitimate interest — Art. 6(1)(f): answering business and recruitment enquiries addressed to us.

5. Who receives it (processors)

Your data is accessible only to SCAFOTEAM staff who handle quotes and recruitment. We use two service providers acting as data processors on our behalf:

• Microsoft 365 — email delivery and storage of the messages you send us.
• area.lv — website hosting and server logs.

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.

6. How long we keep it

• Quote enquiries: for the duration of the enquiry and any resulting project, then archived or deleted per normal business practice.
• Job applications: up to 12 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to its processing, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, contact office@scafoteam.fi. We respond within one month.

8. Complaints

If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Finnish supervisory authority:

9. Legal framework

We follow: the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679); the Finnish Data Protection Act (Tietosuojalaki 1050/2018); and, for cookies and electronic communications, the Act on Electronic Communications Services (917/2014) as supervised by Traficom.
